Marc de Gunzburg

President

It is with a renewed motivation and determination that my family invests in the pursuit of the goals of ORT. It is a great joy to be able to contribute to it, all the more so as I am surrounded and supported by the outstanding personalities who form our Executive, Support and Action Committees.

All together, we continue the path traced by our predecessors to whom, aware of our rich heritage, we pay an enormous tribute.

We are setting ambitious fundraising goals to support ORT’s educational projects around the world.

We want to ensure that ORT Switzerland honors its generous donors through modern and efficient management and a constant concern for economy of means and transparency.

We also intend to multiply event initiatives within ORT Switzerland in order to intensify the spirit of association, friendship and shared joy that makes us strong and successful.

In particular, we want to; interest, welcome and integrate the younger generations; but also energize and unify our regional chapters throughout Switzerland.

I still hope that everyone will live their commitment to ORT, both in Switzerland and worldwide, with intensity and depth.

The success, not without sacrifice, of the many beneficiaries of our efforts around the world is for us, members of ORT Switzerland, a genuine reward of which we can be collectively very proud.

I thank everyone for their contagious enthusiasm, sincere dedication and kind generosity.

Family is his top priority: Wife, children, grandchildren come first. Businessman, patriarch in the family holding company Maus/Nordmann. Philanthropist because he is active in many associations such as Philias, Carrefour Prison, SIDAide, and so many others…

He is an art lover because he is an enlightened collector, and he is the founder of the MAMCO (Museum of Modern Art of Geneva).

Humanist, because it places Man and human values above all others. This is precisely what ties it to ORT. In 1997, he accepted the Presidency of ORT Switzerland, thus fulfilling the wish of his dear cousin Jacqueline Maus, who died in 1995. One of the principles of ORT is to protect individuals from abuse, regardless of their social, cultural or religious background, through professional training. In 2003. He handed over the Presidency of the Swiss ORT to Mr. Robert Equey and has been the Vice President of the Association since then.

Vice - President

ORT came into my life almost fifty years ago when my father became President of the ORT School in Strasbourg.

I have always believed in ORT’s mission, which is the pursuit of excellence in education, the transmission of values and equal opportunity for all in Israel and the Diaspora.
